Complaints and content removal policy
spicy.fm hasn't opened yet. Until it does, anything this page sends to the Help center or a form on the site goes by email instead: support@spicy.fm for help and billing, and legal@spicy.fm for reports of illegal content.
Anyone can tell us about content on spicy.fm they believe is illegal, breaks our rules, or was posted without their consent. This policy explains how to complain, how fast we act, and how to appeal. It is part of our Terms of service.
How to complain
Use the complaint form at spicy.fm/complaints/new. You don't need an account. Tell us:
- links to the content, page or account (for example spicy.fm/creatorname or a post's link);
- what's wrong, picked from the list on the form;
- anything that helps us understand, and an email address so we can tell you what we did.
You'll get a reference. You can check progress at any time at spicy.fm/complaints/status with the reference and your email address. Signed-in people can also report a post, message, comment or account from the menu next to it.
How fast we act
- Content showing someone under 18, and intimate images or videos shared without the consent of a person in them: reviewed within 48 hours, as US law (including the TAKE IT DOWN Act) requires. Content reported this way may be hidden while we review it, and identical copies are removed too.
- Everything else, including copyright: reviewed and answered within 7 business days.
Child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and accounts posting it are closed.
What we do
A trained member of our team reviews every complaint. If the content breaks the law or our rules, we remove it and may limit, suspend or close the account that posted it. We tell you what we decided, and we tell the person whose content it was, unless that would put someone at risk or the law doesn't allow it.
If you were in content without your consent
If you appear in content on spicy.fm that you didn't agree to, or no longer agree to, use the complaint form and pick "Someone in it didn't agree to it, or to it being shared". You don't need to prove who you are to ask us to look, but we may ask you to confirm it privately before we act. We remove content where a person in it didn't consent, and stop the same files being uploaded again.
Appeals
If you disagree with what we decided, whether you complained or your content was removed, reply to our decision or write to us from the Help center within 30 days. Someone who wasn't involved in the first decision reviews it, and we answer within 7 business days. If content was removed by mistake, we restore it.
If a dispute about content that may be illegal, non-consensual or underage can't be resolved, we may refer it to an independent body, and the content stays down while it is decided.
